New Classification for 2009-2013

Below will be a series of links to the TSSAA website. The links will take you to sections explaining the new classification system. Link #1 gives you the school enrollments and were the school will be classified. Link #2 is a video explaining the new playoff system and classification model.

Gibbs has an official enrollment of 1022 which places it as the fourth largest AA school just behind Carter. For playoff consideration, the Eagles will be classified as a 4A school.

Our new district could find us playing teams that we have traditionally played, Union Co, Claiborne, Grainger, or it could put us back in a district with teams like Austin-East and Fulton. That decision will be made on November 13.
